Simpler Questions
At 20, my questions were primarily theoretical: Do we have free will? What is character “in its nature.” Is our path ordained by God or are we, as Sartre put it, “condemned to be free.” These are questions worth asking.
At 33, though, the most interesting thing about those questions is our lack of answers, and the more substantial ones seem to be those that Arjuna asked Krishna about the wise ones: “How do they talk? How do they sit? How do they move?”
